Sam
150 x 150 cm / 61 x 61 in
Large 150×150 cm acrylic pop art painting created live during my solo exhibition near Bordeaux.
Sam is an androgynous portrait—neither male nor female, a character built from attitude and ambiguity. The artwork mixes bold geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and subtle pointillism to give depth and volume. The visual language draws from 80s–90s music videos, pop culture, and graphic aesthetics from that era—sharp contrasts, strong silhouettes, dynamic angles.
What makes this piece unique:
During the exhibition, I turned the canvas into a live painting experience. I invited visitors—children, teenagers, and adults—to paint parts of the background with me. The painting became a collective act instead of a solitary performance. Every mark holds a trace of someone’s energy and emotion. The final result is not just a portrait: it’s a shared moment, captured in color.
Sam represents freedom, individuality, and identity without labels. No gender. No box. Just presence.
